Support Wild Orchid at the House of
Blues in Orlando at 9pm EST on June 16th, 2001. I'll be at this event and I know many other fans from across
the country are flying in for this event.
I arrived in Orlando International Airport at 7pm. After getting to the hotel and getting ready I
headed out to the show. While the House of Blues should have been easy to find I seemed to have
difficulty and the next thing I knew it was almost 9pm. I went and got my tickets and entered.
As I looked at the stage I saw two dancers come on to the stage. I instantly recognized them from
the Much Music special and quickly made my way to the stage. A minute later Wild Orchid came out
and I was in the front row next to their managers assistant who was video taping the concert. The
girls came out and began singing. Stef recognized me right away and then Renee waved to me. Stacy
threw her water bottle cap at me. The started with "Its all your Fault" and then sang "Just
another girl", Its only your love", "Stuttering", "Jump around", and finished with "Talk to Me". Stacy showed the crowd
how to make the Wild Orchid symbol with her two hands.
The crowd seemed to really enjoy the show and I was glad to see a large number of banners for the
girls from the crowd. As they left the stage the assistant recognized me and shook my hand and
asked how I'd been. I gave him the letter that a fan had sent me to give the girls and he went
back stage. The radio station WXXL in Orlando 106.7 had a contest where people made signs for the
group and the winner got 2 tickets to see N'Sync later this month in Orlando. The winner was a girl
who had made a flag that was in red with flames and had Stacy, Stefanie, and Renee's silhouettes in the
middle. Shortly there after Rickey Reynolds saw me in the club and stopped and said that he'd take care
of the next act "Gotti 13" and then he'd hook me up with the girls. Around midnight the show ended and
every left the club.
